Valery Vrady

Valery Vrady was born on March 17, 1942 in Novorossiysk. He spent his childhood in Lviv. He studied at the Lviv National Academy of Arts, then at the Moscow Polygraphic Institute. The artist began his exhibition activities in 1969.

Valery Vrady — participant of more than 80 art exhibitions in Russia, Austria, France and Germany. 6 portraits and 2 paintings of his authorship were acquired by the Academy of Arts of the USSR. Among his works there are portraits of Bulat Okudzhava, Valentin Kataev, Sophie Renoir, Gianni Marandi, Ombretta Colli.

The Valery Vrady’s works are in the collections of the Russian Academy of Arts, the reserves of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, in the museums of Russia, the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States and the former socialist camp, in private collections of the family Phillips, Renoir, Chantal Thomas, Giovanni Miliolo, in the galleries of England, Holland, Austria Germany, France, Sweden, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Japan and the United States.
Since 1978, Valery Vrady is a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR (Russia) and a member of the International Art Fund, a laureate of the Victor Popkov Contest. He was awarded the Order of «Service of Art» II degree.
